Every month, on the last Wednesday of the month, the Goulburn Valley Regional Library at the Shepparton Library hosts a Cultural Conversations morning.

These mornings are a collabration between Goulburn Valley Regional Library  and the Skilled Migration Program, Goulburn Murray Region.

These mornings have a guest presenter who shares a narrative about their culture, their experiences, and how they came to Australia. These mornings provide a venue for networking, support, and informal cultural conversations.

Cultural Conversations started in 2008 to provide a venue for a multi-culturally diverse community to meet new people and become familiar with the Goulburn Valley and its citizens. Cultural Conversations have organised presentations from diverse community members for about their experience of moving to Australia, and the sharing of their unique cultural backgrounds. These community members, living and born in the region give workshops for special skills like History of Henna and demonstration, Card making, etc.

Some of the cultural conversation mornings were about the experience of migration and settling in from diverse places like Afghanistan, Congo, Sudan and Sri Lanka. Cultural Conversations have touched on the topics of Foster Care and Young Indigenous Women living and working in the Goulburn Valley, Dutch Traditions and Sikhism.

Cultural Conversation has new face in 2010 as a "Know Your Community".
