Contributing to WikiShepp
The wiki principle, as in Wikipedia, is that entries should have correct sources. Readers need to know where information has come from, and if it is original research, it is just as important to provide the newspaper reference, or oral source of the evidence. Correct citation of material from printed sources like books or articles protects the rights of the authors and of the wiki writers. See Wikipedia's guidelines on citing sources.WikiShepp will also be monitored by volunteers to ensure that nothing untoward remains on the site. The Goulburn Valley Regional Library Service is hosting WikiShepp and helping co-ordinate research and writing groups to prepare material.
